Job summary

Good Samaritan Miller Prairie Center in Miller, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse’s supervision.

You will administer prescribed meds, document outcomes, monitor vital signs, assist with meals and hygiene, and support wellness activities. A CMA/CNA certification and state requirements are preferred; minimum 18 years old; minimum 30 hours per month with at least one weekend shift per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma not required; GED accepted.
• Satisfactorily completes state-required training and certification.
• Licensed CMA/TMA or CMA eligibility per state.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications under supervision and documents outcomes.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Reports changing conditions to the charge nurse and maintains records.
• Assists with meals, bathing, grooming, and other personal care tasks.
