Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered care under a charge nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, support meals, and help with basic health needs and vital signs.

Medication administration is performed under supervision while maintaining documentation and safety. Requirements include being 18+ years old, with CMA/CNA certification per state rules; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CMA/CNA certification required per state regulations (SD/IA/MN/ND).
• State-specific CMA/CNA certification maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities, bathing, grooming, dressing and mobility.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and assist with dining and nutrition.
