Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant for Miller, SD, to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will administer prescribed medications, monitor residents, and support wellness programs.

Requirements include CMA or CMA-like certification and CNA registration. Aged 18+, GED or HS diploma, and state-specific training are expected. Time can include evenings and weekends with a 30+ hour monthly minimum.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education: minimum 12 hours required; state certifications maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, and safe transfer techniques for residents.
