Job summary

The Legacy of Venice is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee upkeep of the community’s buildings, grounds, and systems. This role supports resident safety and comfort through proactive maintenance and timely repairs.

Responsibilities include repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related equipment, and coordinating with contractors as needed. A positive, team-oriented approach and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two to three years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems in the community.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and service needs.
• Inspect and manage outside contractors as needed.
• Keep accurate records of equipment, serial numbers, and maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
