Job summary

Mental Health America of South Central Kansas seeks a START Care Coordinator Team Lead to supervise START Coordinators in Wichita, KS. This non-exempt, onsite role reports to the Sr.

Director of Prevention Services and oversees crisis triage, service delivery, and care coordination. You will maintain a small caseload, participate in cross-system planning, ensure documentation accuracy, and support staff development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field.
• At least 2 years' experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Must become a certified START Coordinator within twelve months of employment.
• Prior experience as a START Coordinator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily clinical triage support to START Coordinators.
• Shares on-call responsibilities to support 24/7 crisis response, including a telephonic response within one hour and an in-person response within 24 hours.
• Maintains a small active caseload of approximately five individuals until START Coordinator certification is achieved.
• After certification, maintains a fluid and temporary caseload to support START Coordinators when needed.
• Provides administrative supervision to START Coordinators.
• Maintains effective linkages with community partners and participates in recurring meetings with START leadership and the clinical team.
