You will work with providers and staff to submit orders, secure authorizations, and inform patients of appointment details.

The role requires attention to detail, independence, and effective communication with patients and families; familiarity with EHR systems and HIPAA is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school in medical field preferred.
• 0–1 year experience in medical/health field required.
• Experience with referrals/authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all referrals within two business days of order submission.
• Ensure orders are in EHR and linked to the referral.
• Obtain authorizations and verify insurance coverage; follow up until resolution.
• Notify patients of appointment details and referral provider contact information.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
