Job summary

The Spine & Pain Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a highly organized Procedure Coordinator to manage prior authorizations, schedule procedures, and coordinate communication between providers, patients, insurers, and surgery centers. This full-time, on-site role offers a Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical scheduling, insurance authorization, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Experience in pain management, orthopedics, surgery scheduling, or specialty healthcare strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, medications, and specialty treatments.
• Coordinate outpatient procedures and surgery center scheduling
• Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding approvals, denials, and appeals
• Schedule new patient, follow-up, and post-procedure appointments
• Provide patients with pre-procedure instructions and scheduling support
• Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, front office staff, and billing teams
• Maintain accurate scheduling and authorization documentation within the EHR system
• Assist with schedule optimization, cancellations, reschedules, and waitlists
