Job summary

OhioHealth in the United States is seeking a Case Manager extender to work as part of the UM Care Coord-Southwest Hub. The role involves insurance verification, pre-authorization processes, and data entry to support timely patient care and efficient hospital billing.

You will triage calls, coordinate services, and ensure accurate documentation across internal and external stakeholders. The position emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary staff, payer communications, and ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Associates degree, or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience.
• Computer competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a strong aptitude to learn other programs as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorization when necessary.
• Triage incoming calls and route to appropriate staff.
• Document accurate information and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Perform authorization data entry and coordination of services with UM and care coordination teams.
• Monitor payer accounts and ensure proper attachments and authorization numbers.
• Refer complex decisions to UM team and managers for review.
• Provide general office and clerical support as assigned.
