Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance and billing required.
• Experience in long-term care, hospital, or healthcare accounting preferred.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid eligibility preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office and the internet required.

Responsibilities

• Authorization Verification and Management: process authorizations for home health and hospice services with accuracy.
• Prepare and submit authorizations via payer portals or fax; update workflow software with status changes.
• Coordinate recertifications and verify patient eligibility monthly; communicate with sites and billing staff.
• Appeal Tracking and Administration: manage ADR logs and communicates with coordinators.
• Data Entry: create facesheets, ensure demographic and billing data accuracy, and enter authorization numbers.
• All other duties as assigned.
