Newton Village is hiring part-time Care Attendants to provide person-centered care to residents, supporting ADLs and medication administration. Training is provided, with shifts including Day and Evening hours at 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208.

Qualifications

• Medication certification required.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with Medication administration.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed; report changes to RN.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report changes in condition to supervisor.
• Assist with personal care including hair washing and bathing; assist with medications.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Newton VillageAssisted Living, a Cassia community, is hiring Care Attendants to join our award-winning team! As a Care Attendant at Newton Village,you will provide person-centered care to our residents, supporting them with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering/bathing, shampooing of hair and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence and well-being.This position is ideal for someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

Position Type: Part-Time

Available Shifts: Day: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
Evenings: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Care Attendant Responsibilities:

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with Medication administration.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, and medication administration.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Care Attendant Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in a similar setting preferred.
