Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation is seeking a Care Associate/PSS for the Assisted Living program in York Harbor, ME. This part-time evening shift role (2:30PM - 11:00PM) provides daily living assistance to residents to preserve dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include ADL support, medication reminders, documentation, and offering emotional and social care. A minimum of one year in senior care is required; CNA/CHHA license may be needed per state; strong English communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate with staff.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.

In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

• Community Name: Sentry Hill at York Harbor
• Compensation: USD 18.75 - USD 21.25 - hourly

• We are looking for someone to work part-time on our evening shift, 2:30PM - 11:00PM. Working every other weekend is required.
• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
