Senior Lifestyle is seeking a part-time Evening Care Assistant in Maine to support residents in the Assisted Living Program. You will help with daily activities, provide emotional support, and ensure dignity and privacy while following the supervisor's schedule.

Responsibilities include medication reminders, personal care, and maintaining daily logs. Candidates should have 1+ year senior care experience and may need a CNA/CHHA license depending on state requirements; excellent teamwork is

Qualifications

• One year or more of experience in senior care.
• Acceptable English to perform duties and communicate with staff and residents.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.
• Compassion, professionalism, and teamwork are essential.

Job Description

• We are looking for someone to work part-time on our evening shift, 2:30PM - 11:00PM. Working every other weekend is required.


• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.


• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.


• Provide emotional and social support to residents.


• Document daily log of assistance.


• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.


• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.


• Respect residents’ confidentiality.

Qualifications

• You have at least one year of experience working in senior care.


• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.


• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.


• You have basic computer skills.


• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.


• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.


• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.


• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations.
