Job summary

Avon Search is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join a warm residential care setting in Crosby. The role is a 33-hour per week daytime position, focusing on person-centred care to residents in a small home environment close to transport and seafront.

Residents include individuals living with dementia; the home supports independence with tailor-made routines and a family-oriented atmosphere. Training and progression are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Care Assistant in a residential setting is desirable.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential.
• Need a caring, reliable, and professional approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents.
• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities.
• Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
• Support social activities and meaningful engagement with residents.
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with families and healthcare professionals.
• Help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
