Responsibilities

• Gather, verify, and process referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications with physicians, patients, and payers.
• Communicate information and answer questions regarding health plans, billing, and insurance clarifications.
• Set up appointments and coordinate clinic visits, including transportation and interpreter services as needed.
• Coordinate flow of information between clinic and referral authorization to secure valid referrals.
• Enter referrals, documents, communications and actions into the system accurately.
• Prioritize referrals by urgency and address them in a timely manner.
