Job summary

Headlight Health is seeking a Care Access Specialist I to be the first point of contact for patients seeking care. You will guide onboarding, schedule appointments, and coordinate with clinicians to ensure a smooth transition into care.

The role is non-clinical and involves empathetic communication, scheduling, and documentation, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days in the Downtown Salt Lake City office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, or some college coursework, preferred.
• One year experience in customer service call center environment or similar client-facing role, required.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or client engagement preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for connecting each person to care and ensure first appointments are kept.
• Follow up and re-engage people who have not started care.
• Respond to new opportunities quickly with rapid initial contact.
• Meet people where they are and provide information, reassurance, guidance, and encouragement.
