Job summary

CardVault by Tom Brady is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Bloomington, MN. You will assist the Store Manager with daily operations, coach a team, and ensure exceptional customer service for sports cards and collectibles.

Applicants should have at least two years of management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and be comfortable with weekends, evenings and holidays. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail POS systems is preferred. Up to 30 lb lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management/key holder experience in a retail environment.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Ability to lead and be part of a successful store team.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and interpersonal communication with guests, team members and management.
• Able to meet or exceed sales and guest service standards; comfortable interacting with the public.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail POS systems.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and move around sales floor and stock room.

• Handle cash, reconcile drawers and safes, and perform opening/closing duties.
• Fill in for Store Manager when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

As an Assistant Store Manager, a typical day might include the following:

• Assisting the Store Manager with store operations
• Coaching and motivating your team to drive sales that deliver exceptional customer service
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service
• Delivering sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations
• Making sure that the store is always clean and properly organized
• Learning and sharing expertise of products and trends to fit customer’s needs
• Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends
• Maintaining patron satisfaction and builds relationships with preferred patrons
• General cash handling, reconciling cash drawers and safes, and performing opening and closing duties to company standard
• Filling in for Store Manager when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A comprehensive knowledge of sports and/or trading cards

• Must have the ability to meet or exceed sales, guest service standards
• Must be comfortable working and speaking with the public
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systems
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, and ability lift/carry up to 30 lbs
• Clear understanding of retail metrics including key performance indicators necessary to drive sales
