Job summary
Sanford Health – Marshfield Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery to join our team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role provides advanced nursing care for adults undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and a multidisciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The NP/PA collaborates across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, ensuring
Qualifications
- Completion of a master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an accredited NP program.
- 1–3 years of experience in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, critical care, or surgical specialties strongly preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice (physical or virtual).
- Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
- State Controlled Substance License (if required by State).
- National board certification as an AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG/ACNP-BC; FNP-BC or FNP–C or AGPCNP-BC or A-GNP may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for adults undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care team across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Manage care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
