Job summary

Sanford Health – Marshfield Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You will provide advanced nursing care for adults undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team across preop, intraop, and postop settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an accredited NP program (CCNE or NLNAC).
• 1–3 years of cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, critical care, or surgical specialties preferred.
• Current RN and NP licensure in each state of practice.
• DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
• State license for controlled substances if required.
• Board certification as AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG (or related).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for adults undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Education

Master’s / Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE/NLNAC accredited)

1–3 years cardiovascular/thoracic surgery experience

Current RN and NP Licensure in practice states

DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances

State Controlled Substance License (if required)

Board certification: AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG (or related)
