Job summary

Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery to join the team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The NP/PA will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for adults in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

Master’s, post-master’s, or doctorate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
1–3 years of experience in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, critical care, or surgical specialties.
Current licensure as an RN and NP in each state of practice.
Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances.
State CS license if required by state.
National board certification as an AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG, Family NP (FNP-BC) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP-BC).
Privileging documents and credentialing requirements may supersede this job description.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced nursing care for adult patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary care team.
Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
