Performs scrub duties and related procedures for cardiac interventions, left heart catheterization and right and left heart catheterization with no assistance. Performs scrub duties and related procedures for peripheral diagnostics or interventions with minimal assistance. Ability to scrub, gown, glove and set up back table with necessary equipment. Records cardiac interventions, left heart catheterization and left and right heart catheterization hemodynamics with accuracy. Monitors procedure, and documents inventory used and order of events appropriately in MacLab(tm) event log. Requires only occasional minimal assistance. Maintains ECG set up and rhythm monitoring. Maintains basic hemodynamic set up and waveform monitoring. Assists in preparation of room with fellow staff members for safe, effective care of patient. Performs required checks on all safety equipment. Ensures adequate supplies present to perform procedures. Transports patients alone or accompanied by a fellow staff member.
Hourly Required License Certification and Registration: RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification required within the first 2 years of hire and must be maintained. If applicable, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Act (SCRQSA) also required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within three (3) months of hire and thereafter maintained.
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 0-6 months. Graduation from an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program; or equivalent education and/or experience and RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification required; or Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology and one year of radiologic experience. Telemetry and Arterial and Venous Sheath Removal experience preferred. Copy of academic degree or transcript required.
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional. Required License Certification and Registration: Must be certified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Current certification in Advanced Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
Associate's Degree or equivalent. Required License Certification and Registration: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified as an ARRT, or be certified as an RCIS or RCES with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
