Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. You will work with physicians and a clinical team to diagnose and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in a fast-paced setting.

The role develops specialized CV skills in invasive procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile technique while contributing to high-quality patient care. Requires relevant degree/certification and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.
  • Graduation from an invasive cardiovascular technology program or equivalent/experience with applicable certification.
  • RCIS/RCES/CEPS or RT(R)CI certification required within two years if graduation from radiologic tech program.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the procedure team during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
  • Perform scrub duties for cardiac interventions and catheterizations in peripheral procedures.
  • Monitor ECG and hemodynamic waveforms and document in the EMR procedure log.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique and ensure supplies are available.
  • Support safe, high-quality patient care and assist with patient transportation as needed.
  • Grow cardiovascular skills and pursue advanced credentials in an invasive environment.

What You'll Do
  • Be Part of the Procedure Team
  • Work alongside physicians and clinical team members during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Develop Specialized Cardiovascular Skills
  • Perform scrub duties for cardiac interventions and right and left heart catheterizations while building expertise in peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Work with Advanced Clinical Technology
  • Monitor ECG rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms, accurately record procedural information, and document interventions and equipment in the EMR procedure log.
  • Support Safe, High-Quality Patient Care
  • Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique, perform safety equipment checks, ensure necessary supplies are available, and assist with patient transportation and procedural readiness.

Required License Certification and Registration
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Graduation from an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program or qualifying equivalent education/experience and applicable certification
  • Alternatively, graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology with one year of radiologic experience RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification as required within the first two years of hire BLS certification ACLS certification within three months of hire
