Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • 0-2 years of modality specific experience required.
  • Current ARRT registration.
  • ARRT registration in interventional radiology required within 1 year in position.
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, the CVIS I assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena.

Job Description

The Noncertified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I (CVIS I) reports to the assist Coordinator (Outpatient Clinic Manager) and the Nurse Manager of the Heart and Vascular Service Line.


Under limited supervision, the CVIS I assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena specializing in the care of patients undergoing basic diagnostic catheterization and interventional procedures.



Additional Job Description


  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • ARRT registration in interventional radiology required within 1 year in position.
