Job summary

Great Falls Clinic is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab) for a part-time, on-site PRN role at the Great Falls, MT facility. You will scrub and manage the sterile field, monitor hemodynamics, and perform X-ray duties under direction from cardiology and lab leadership.

Required: associates or higher, 2 years Cath Lab experience or cardiovascular program grad. BLS is required; RCIS is preferred and ACLS is recommended. Pre-employment screenings apply.

• Associates or better in a related field.
• 2 years Cath Lab experience or graduate of a cardiovascular program is required.
• Cardiovascular Science Exam preferred.
• Cardiovascular Invasive Registry Exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in managing diagnostic and interventional procedures by scrubbing and managing the sterile field.
• Monitor and report hemodynamic data and perform X-ray duties as directed.
• Receive direction from Cardiologists, Cath Lab Manager, Anesthesia, and R.N. Circulator Laboratory.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Assists the physician in managing diagnostic and interventional procedures by scrubbing and managing the sterile field and by monitoring and reporting hemodynamic data. Performing X-ray duties, routine or delegated, according to the standards and policies of the Cardiac Catheterization. Receives direction from: Cardiologists, Cath Lab Manager, Anesthesia, R.N. Circulator Laboratory.

EDUCATION

• 2 years Cath Lab experience or graduate of a cardiovascular program, required.
• Successful completion of the Cardiovascular Science Exam, preferred.
• Successful completion of the Cardiovascular Invasive Registry Exam, preferred.
• Associates or better.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current BLS Certification, required.
• Current National RCIS Registration, preferred.
• ACLS Certification, recommended.
• Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Sup

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively.
• Must possess knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of Cath Lab procedures and a basic understanding of cardiovascular anatomy.
• Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's.
• Know how to open, read, and respond to email.
• Know how to manage electronic files.
• Work in temperature-controlled environment.
• Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
