Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a qualified nursing technician to ensure the proper performance of the Cath Lab. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, maintaining a safe surgical environment, and performing related duties. The ideal candidate must be a graduate of a nursing program, have 2 years of critical care experience, MT RN licensure, and current BLS and ACLS certification. Position Overview

Ensures proper performance and maintenance of the Cath Lab, assesses patient needs, provides a safe surgical environment while circulating, promotes good patient care, and performs other related Cath Lab duties. Receives direction from: Cardiologists, Cath Lab Manager, Anesthesia. Flexible hours to cover all shifts and weekends as hospital needs demand, including call.

Education

• Graduate of nursing program, required.

Experience

• 2 years of critical care experience, required.

License/Certifications

• MT RN licensure, required.
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification, required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Demonstrates effective communication skills.
• Possess knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of professional nursing and coronary care nursing.
• Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's.
• Know to open, read, and respond to email.
• Know how to manage electronic files.
• Know how to print electronic documents and reports.
• Work in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
• Able to life 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
