Job summary

Great Falls Clinic Hospital seeks a Cath Lab professional to assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures, scrub and manage the sterile field, and monitor hemodynamic data. You will also perform X-ray duties in the Cath Lab.

Requirements include 2 years Cath Lab experience or cardiovascular program graduate, current BLS, and ACLS or RCIS preferred. This position offers a retention bonus up to $10,000 for external candidates. Great Falls, MT.

Qualifications

• Associates or better.
• 2 years Cath Lab experience or cardiovascular program graduate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Cardiovascular Science Exam and RCIS Registration preferred.
• ACLS certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and manage the sterile field in the Cath Lab.
• Monitor and report hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Perform X-ray duties according to Cath Lab standards.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Assists the physician in managing diagnostic and interventional procedures by scrubbing and managing the sterile field and by monitoring and reporting hemodynamic data. Performing X-ray duties, routine or delegated, according to the standards and policies of the Cardiac Catheterization. Receives direction from: Cardiologists, Cath Lab Manager, Anesthesia, R.N. Circulator Laboratory.

EDUCATION:

• 2 years Cath Lab experience or graduate of a cardiovascular program, required.
• Successful completion of the Cardiovascular Science Exam, preferred.
• Successful completion of the Cardiovascular Invasive Registry Exam, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current BLS Certification, required.
• Current National RCIS Registration, preferred.
• ACLS Certification, recommended.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively.
• Must possess knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of Cath Lab procedures and a basic understanding of cardiovascular anatomy.
• Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's.
• Know how to open, read, and respond to email.
• Know how to manage electronic files.
• Work in temperature-controlled environment.
• Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
