Job summary

Great Falls Clinic Hospital in Great Falls, MT, seeks a Cath Lab Nurse who ensures proper performance and maintenance of the Cath Lab, assesses patient needs, and provides a safe surgical environment while circulating. You will promote excellent patient care, work under Cardiologists, the Cath Lab Manager and Anesthesia, and handle flexible hours to cover all shifts and weekends, including call.

• MT RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS certifications required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Ensures proper performance and maintenance of the Cath Lab, assesses patient needs, provides a safe surgical environment while circulating, promotes good patient care, and performs other related Cath Lab duties. Receives direction from: Cardiologists, Cath Lab Manager, Anesthesia, Flexible hours to cover all shifts and weekends as hospital needs demand, including call.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of nursing program, required.

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years of critical care experience, required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• MT RN licensure, required.
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification, required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Possess knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of professional nursing and coronary care nursing.
• Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's.
• Know to open, read, and respond to email.
• Know how to manage electronic files.
• Know how to print electronic documents and reports.
• Work in a temperature-controlled environment.
• Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
