Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician II for UP Health System Marquette in Michigan. This role involves monitoring patients, assisting physicians, and providing education regarding procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in the Cath Lab.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS-HCP) required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS) required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient history and educate patients on procedures.
  • Monitor heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and assist in procedures.
  • Administer medications under physician supervision.

1.0 FTE (40 hrs/week) Varied Shifts. MAST union position. $7,500 sign‑on for external candidates based on eligibility.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Enter new data as needed.
  • Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Reports any changes to the appropriate person.
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Assists cardiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physicians.

What We’re Looking For
  • 1 Year Experience in the Cath Lab
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent academic program and experience.)
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Non-Radiologic Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Preferred
