Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician specialized in Cardiac Imaging for an 0.8 FTE position with varied shifts. This MAST union role includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates.

As part of Lifepoint Health, the Cardiovascular Technician will assist physicians, monitor patient status, manage supplies, and contribute to high-quality cardiovascular imaging procedures in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Sciences program (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, LPN or equivalent).
• BLS-HCP certification.
• Licensure or certification in degree field within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• Non-Radiologic Technology and LPN requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 18 months of hire.
• 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient on procedures and equipment; enters data as needed.
• Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels; reports changes.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assists cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Administers medications to patients under physician supervision.

How you'll contribute

A Cardiovascular Technician who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Enter new data as needed.
• Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Reports any changes to the appropriate person.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assists cardiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physicians.

What we're looking for:

• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent academic program and experience.)
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Licensure or Certification in degree field within 90 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year hire/transfer)
• Non-Radiologic Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 18 months of hire
• 1 year related experience (Preferred)
