Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist (EP Lab CVT) to monitor procedures, assist physicians in a scrub‑assist role, and circulate for EP and cardiac cath procedures. A five‑year experience pathway or an accredited degree pathway is required, with RCIS or RCES eligibility within 12 months of hire.

The role requires BLS/ACLS and English proficiency; licensure options include ARRT and Florida licenses. This is a PRN day shift position in Florida.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, LPN license, or Paramedic license.
• In lieu of education, minimum of five (5) years’ experience and RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

• Monitor EP lab procedures, assist physician in scrub‑assist role, and circulate for diagnostic EP and cardiac ablation procedures, device implants and explants, and cardiac cath procedures. PRN day shift.

Responsibilities

The EP Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assist physician in a scrub-assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, cardiac cath procedures to ensures safe patient care. This is a prn day shift position.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, LPN license, or Paramedic license.
  • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
    • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
  • If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
    • -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
    • -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
    • -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
    • -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
    • -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
• BLS required
• ACLS required
