Job summary

A leading health care provider in Madison, WI is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have a CVIS training background and BLS certification. Qualifications

• Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) training program required.
• One year of experience in Cath Lab or Electrophysiology preferred.
• RCIS certification preferred for graduates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Opportunities to cross-train to Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology.

Job description

Work Schedule

36 hours per week, two 8‑hour shifts and two 10‑hour shifts per week or 12‑hour shifts. Operating hours are Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM with night/weekend on‑call requirements (30‑minute call response time). This position may be eligible for up to a $9,000.00 sign‑on bonus (pro‑rated based on FTE). You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

• This position may be eligible for a $9,000.00 sign‑on bonus (pro‑rated based on FTE).
• Additional components of compensation may include:
  • Evening and night shift differential
  • Weekend differential
  • On‑call pay
• Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants

Cardiovascular Tech (Cath Lab, CVT)

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Technologist (CVIS) training program Required
• One year of Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology experience or participation in the CVT apprenticeship program may be considered in lieu of education requirement
• Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) Technologist training program Preferred

Work Experience

• 2 years of Cardiovascular Technologist work experience in a Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Laboratory Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR Certification Upon Hire Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months Required
• RCIS certification. If a graduate meeting minimum education requirement, then licensed, certified, or registered by appropriate credentialing program Preferred
