Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA, seeks a full-time Surgical Technician for day shifts to support operating room procedures. The role requires CST or LPN/LVN/Licensed Tech credentials and BLS certification, with duties including scrubbing, gowning, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile technique.

Job Description

Sign On Bonus: $10,000 for eligible candidates

Work Schedule: Full time, Days, Four 9-hour shifts. Call Required

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
• Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy.
• Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately.

Work Experience

• 1+ experience [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND

Pay Range

$20.23 - $37.64
