Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technician for a full-time travel contract position. Responsibilities include assisting the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room, preparing sterile instruments, and maintaining the sterilization of surgical equipment.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR and relevant certifications. Offering competitive pay, health benefits, and a 401(k) savings plan.

Qualifications

• Must have one year experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR.
• Surgical Technician certification is preferred, may be required by state.
• Must comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Must have current CPR certification if applicable.
• Must have current health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Prepare and provide sterile instruments.
• Maintain sterilization of surgical equipment.
• Arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools.

Job description

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment; as well as preparing and providing sterile instruments and maintaining the sterilization of surgical equipment, arranging surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

• Surgical Technician certification Preferred (may be required per state and/or client requirement)
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
