Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team in Hackensack, NJ. This role focuses on direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team to achieve desired outcomes and improve patient lives.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma in Nursing required; BSN in progress preferred.
• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
