Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support in Torrance, CA. The position covers hospital and clinic hours with weekend and on-call duties, including 7:30 AM–6:00 PM schedules and a 6:00 PM–7:30 AM call window.

Requirements include an active California license, board certification, BLS, ACLS, and DEA. Experience with endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, plus intraoperative assistance, is expected.

This facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule:Hospital: Monday 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Clinic: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Call Schedule 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Types of Cases: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting required, interpret electrocardiogram, X-rays, Labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella. Rounding on inpatients post-op, first assist in surgery, and seeing patients in clinic.
• State Licenses: Active California state medical license, Board Certified, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration License (DEA)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
