Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) in the Torrance/LA area for locum tenens coverage. The schedule includes hospital days and clinic hours with a call rotation from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

The role requires active California licensure, board certification, BLS, ACLS, and DEA, with experience in endoscopic harvesting and intraoperative support. EPIC EMR proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Active California medical license and board certification.
• BLs/ACLS/DEA certifications required.
• Experience as a Cardiovascular Surgery PA preferred.

Responsibilities

• First assist in surgery and post-op rounding.
• Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting as needed.
• Clinic visits and ECG/lab interpretation
• Operate within EPIC EMR system.

Weekend;On Call;9 Pay Rate: $106.70 - $115.50This facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule:Hospital: Monday 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Clinic: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Call Schedule 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Types of Cases: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting required, interpret electrocardiogram, X-rays, Labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella. Rounding on inpatients post-op, first assist in surgery, and seeing patients in clinic.
• State Licenses: Active California state medical license, Board Certified, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration License (DEA)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
