Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) on locum tenens to support a California facility in Torrance. Start ASAP; schedule includes weekend and on-call coverage with a daily pay rate of $106.70–$115.50.

In this role, you will perform endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, provide first assist in surgery, and see post-op patients in clinic. Requirements include active California license, Board Certification, BLS, ACLS, and DEA.

Qualifications

• Active California medical license and Board Certification.
• BLS, ACLS, and DEA licenses required.
• Experience with cardiovascular surgical cases and intraoperative assistance preferred.

Responsibilities

• First assist in cardiovascular surgery procedures and post-op rounding.
• See patients in clinic and coordinate pre/post-op care.
• Interpret ECGs, imaging, and labs; manage ICU inpatient care as needed.

StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Weekend;On Call;9 Pay Rate: $106.70 - $115.50

This facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule:Hospital: Monday 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Clinic: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
• Call Schedule 6:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Types of Cases: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting required, interpret electrocardiogram, X-rays, Labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella. Rounding on inpatients post-op, first assist in surgery, and seeing patients in clinic.
• State Licenses: Active California state medical license, Board Certified, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration License (DEA)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
