Qualifications

• Active California medical license with Board Certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• DEA license.
• Experience in cardiovascular surgery and perioperative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient rounding on post-operative patients.
• Provide first assist during cardiovascular surgeries.
• See patients in clinic and in an outpatient setting.
• Interpret ECGs, X-rays, and laboratory results.
• Assist with endoscopic and radial artery harvesting.

Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)

StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Weekend;This facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Schedule:Hospital: Monday 7:30 AM-6:00 PM

Clinic: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Types of Cases: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting required, interpret electrocardiogram, X-rays, Labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella. Rounding on inpatients post-op, first assist in surgery, and seeing patients in clinic.

State Licenses: Active California state medical license, Board Certified, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration License (DEA)
