Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support in Torrance, CA. Start date ASAP; weekend and on-call shifts with a pay rate of $106.70–$115.50 per hour.

Schedule includes hospital hours 7:30 AM–6:00 PM and clinic hours 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, with call 6:00 PM–7:30 AM. Responsibilities include endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, intraoperative first assist, inpatient rounding, and clinic visits.

Qualifications

• Active California medical license required.
• Board Certification for Cardiovascular Surgery PA preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and DEA licenses required.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting.
• Interpret electrocardiogram, X-rays, labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella.
• Rounding on inpatients post-op.
• First assist in surgery.
• Seeing patients in clinic.
