Ascension is inviting a board-eligible or board-certified cardiac surgeon to join a busy practice in Pensacola, FL. The role includes inpatient rounds, outpatient clinic work, and collaboration with a small team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac surgical procedures as part of a 2-physician, 3-APP team.
• Inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve care quality and efficiency.
• Pursue opportunities such as Medical Directorship when available.

• Call structure: 10 days/mo.
• Practice setting: mix of surgery, inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic
• Access to: Robotics | Dedicated block time

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Sacred Heart Hospital was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1915. What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
