Job description

Overview

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs echocardiograms and vascular studies to assess patients' anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. They must demonstrate proficiency in ultrasound equipment to visualize and record high-quality images of the cardiovascular system, adhering to established guidelines and departmental policies. Basic Life Support certification is required.

Licensure

Required: Registered Vascular Technologist and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Specialist and Registered Cardiac Sonographer.

Education

Required: Graduate of Cardiac Ultrasound and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound programs. An Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography is preferred.

Experience

Required: 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience.
