WakeMed is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform echocardiograms and vascular studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound technology and patient care, ensuring high-quality imaging in accordance with established guidelines.
The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs echocardiograms as well as various vascular studies of patients' anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. They must demonstrate proficiency in using ultrasound equipment to visualize and record high-quality images of the cardiovascular system in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures.

Required: Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer. Basic Life Support certification is also required.
Required: Graduate of Cardiac Ultrasound and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound programs, or an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 1 year clinical ultrasound experience required. Licensure as Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer is required. Basic Life Support certification is also required.
