Job summary

Kansas Health System in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer for a PRN Part-Time role to provide advanced ultrasound imaging and patient care. The position requires performing echocardiograms, stress echo, and TEE-related tasks, with on-call duties as assigned by the cardiology team.

Candidates must have 4 years of cardiac ultrasound experience and hold a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS credential, plus BLS. Graduate of accredited program preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years of cardiac ultrasound clinical experience with ≥4000 echocardiograms.
• Must hold BLS and either RCS or RDCS.
• Graduate of accredited program in cardiac ultrasound preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and conducts pre-ultrasound assessments.
• Explains procedure to patients and ensures their comfort and cooperation.
• Performs routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures including echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
• Assists with imaging during TEE and esophageal image acquisition as directed.
• Maintains patient data and communicates critical findings to the physician.
