The role requires an RN license in California, a nursing degree, and 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in cardiovascular care. Strong leadership and policy development are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• B.A. / B.S. degree required.
• Current RN licensure in California required.
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
• 3 years of supervision experience required.
• 1–3 years of progressive hospital/nursing management experience required.
• Evidence of cardiovascular/ hospital and healthcare management competency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities, supervision, management and direction of the Cardiovascular Department.
• Assist the Director in maintaining clinical and operational performance and lead staff and students.
• Provide leadership for cardiovascular personnel and clinical teams.
• Deliver professional nursing care and enforce care guidelines and departmental policies.
• Assess patients to plan, intervene and evaluate care.
