Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with the care team to support pre-operative and post-operative needs and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

The role requires RN licensure in NC, a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and ACLS/BLS within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in North Carolina or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, noting changes.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with physicians.
• Document care promptly in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
