Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred; ADN with enrollment in BSN program within 3 years and degree completion within 5 years.
• 2-3 years of relevant acute care nursing experience.
• Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a registered nurse.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room experience with a cardiovascular team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operational needs of the OR and staff.
• Serve as a resource for questions and issues related to procedures and surgeon preferences.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members, contributing to performance reviews and employment decisions.
• Act as a liaison between surgeons, operating room staff, and management to ensure smooth communication and operations.
• Participate in clinical nursing roles as needed, including charge nurse responsibilities.
