Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Staff RN-Cardiovascular to join our perioperative team. You’ll coordinate direct and indirect patient care in the Main OR and Cardiovascular OR, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff.

Requirements include Nevada RN license, BLS/ACLS, and perioperative or cardiovascular OR experience; English communication essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training at Saint Mary’s required.
• One year previous Cardiovascular OR experience required.
• Must be able to communicate in English (Speak, Write)
• Current and valid Nevada RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required

Responsibilities

• Staff RN-Cardiovascular is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor.
• The Registered Nurse delivers direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting in both the Main OR and Cardiovascular OR.
• Coordinates care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and directs OR staff while maintaining nursing standards.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
