Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to join our team on a full-time basis. The role includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus and eligibility for OR shift differentials.

As an OR RN, you will assess patients, develop care plans, administer meds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care. Experience in surgery is required, with a current RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
