Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to provide direct patient advocacy and intraoperative support across a high-volume surgical department. The role involves circulating, instrument management, and room turnover in a 17-suite facility serving diverse specialties.

We require an RN with an associate degree or diploma and an active Colorado RN license. Preferred candidates include OR experience and a BSN.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
• RN License in state of employment.
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation and review of records; intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain confidential patient charts; document status and outcomes; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote and protect patient health and safety, and advocate for patient rights.
• Provide patient/family education based on learning readiness and needs.
