Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Cardiovascular services at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley, CA. The role involves independent patient examinations, consultations, ordering tests, and managing treatment plans under standard protocols.

The position emphasizes rounding, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based cardiovascular care. Per diem status with day shifts and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of critical care or cardiovascular nursing experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in similar nurse practitioner / coordinator role.
• CCRN-American Association of Critical Care Nurse preferred.
• National certification in a nurse practitioner specialty preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding and care of patients.
• Perform consultations and order diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
• Develop treatment plans for continuum of care from admission to discharge.
• Document patient data and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with development of clinical programs to enhance care delivery.
