Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to provide expert technical support in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization. You will operate imaging and monitoring equipment, assist the physician with complex devices, and ensure QA, data interpretation and safety standards are met.

The role requires RT credentials, Illinois licensure, and ACLS/BCLS readiness, with a minimum of three years in diagnostic radiography and interventional cardiology experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Diagnostic RT experience with interventional cardiology preferred.
• Proficient in imaging, monitoring equipment and QA procedures.
• Ability to interpret hemodynamic and oximetric data accurately.
• Capable of assisting with vascular software and procedural setup as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent technical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; troubleshoot as needed.
• Serve as scrub assistant, circulator and monitor technician on a rotating basis.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures with devices including intra-aortic balloon pump.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret hemodynamic and oximetric data.
• Ensure sterile supplies, equipment connection and operation readiness.
• Observe sterile technique and document procedural events chronologically.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards per protocol.
• Assist with transport and post-procedure care; participate in QA and film processing.
